  • create the quality plan and performance standards for all Task Orders and monitor the project implementation process for compliance

  • develop and implement configuration/change management processes to control configuration components and change requests using the DSA PMF as a guide

  • create an issues log for outstanding issues and develop all status reports

  • perform Task Order quality requirements analysis, develop performance standards for those requirements, and inform all team members assigned to tasks of the quality performance requirements for that task.

The PM will establish, monitor and report on all technical quality performance. The PM will evaluate all Task Order performance based on the standards and report that performance in team meetings, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Status Reports to the NAVY COTR. The Program Manager will institute corrective action when performance does not meet standards. Where development is involved the PM will ensure that each application is developed according to current industry and Government policy and standards as well as the Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity Model.

Quality is imperative with the DISN Bandwidth Manager, the Defense Message System, and AUTODIN. The use of these three national assets can and often does have life or death consequences.  DSA has implemented formal testing and reporting standards that support the Quality Assurance of all programs.  DSA is responsible for the formal testing of all DMS components prior to their release to the field.  As a part of those tests a formal testing report and recommendation concerning the product’s status and readiness for release is presented to a formal configuration control board.   DSA grew from a small cadre of engineers to the company we are today by developing mission critical communications systems for a wide variety of customers.  Quality Assurance is one of the foundation building blocks of our success.

Partners: DSA has four partners on the SeaPort-e contract, Creative Computing Solutions, Inc. (CCSI), Guident, Northrop Grumman Corp., and Serrano IT Services (SITS).
